So put on your sunglasses and enjoy the pics! I hope my photography can do it justice ;-)
I haven't joined them together yet, but I have tucked all the loose ends. |
The pattern is called Granny Graphic Afghan by Katherine Eng but instead of going with the 5 hexagons in the pattern I used 8 colors and have been doing them randomly. It is a little more willy-nilly, but I like it! I have 26 out of 60 made so far. I have been doing about 2 hexes a day and really having FUN, FUN, FUN. The real question is "Where will I put this scrummy, yummy blanket when I am finished? Family room? Bedroom? Back Porch?" Hmmm... We will see, but I will probably just carry it around with me wherever I go like Linus. Hopefully, I will be able to make some more blankets and then I can have one in every room! I'll keep you posted as I go....
Thank you to my friends old and new who have left comments for me. I am so THRILLED when I see there is a comment and I promise to reply to ALL of them. It is so motivating to share the things I do with friends in "blog wonderland". THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Love the colors! Can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteI also love the colors. I know there's a lot more work doing these pieced afghans. I did one years ago but I crocheted all the pieces then sewed them together. I said I'd never do another one. Maybe if I do like you're doing and sew them as you get them crocheted, it won't seem as bad as how I did mine.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is just beautiful! When I first started blogging, Lucy from Attic24 was my inspiration, too. Her use of color is brilliant, it justs puts a smile on your face! You have done a fabulous job. Thanks for sharing at Hookin On Hump Day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara. It is my favorite crochet project so far and my first attempt at a blanket. I set it aside for a while but I think I'm about ready to start on it again. Thank you for the kind words and stopping by my blog!
DeleteOh my goodness, I found you via the Ladybug Blessings blog hop and your afghan WIP is so amazing!! You are doing a great job and I cant wait to see the final project.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kari. I looked at your blog and love your quilting WIP's. I have a stack of crochet ones and I know about wanting to get something finished! The hexagon blanket is a monster and I have to set it aside for a while, but I love it anyway! Thank you for stopping by!
DeleteWow!! I love the colors! But I'm all about brights! Good work! I found you from Hookin on Hump Day and am a new follower!
