The new screened in back porch is not very inviting right now. |
It seems the snow followed me home from Colorado! We had a magical, soggy, wet snow last weekend and THEN this weekend we had an ice storm. January of 2013 is turning out to be very... WINTERY! We get very excited in Tennessee when we have any kind of frozen weather and when the weatherman predicts one flake of snow people RUSH to the grocery store to pick up bread and milk. Snow is slippery and fun, but ice is just scary and dangerous. Even my little dog, Smokey, fell down our front stairs when his feet hit the ice. Luckily he is very close to the ground so he did not get hurt. It did take several days before he would go down the steps by himself. ;-)
Here are a few comparison photos of the snow and ice.
While all of this frostiness was going on outside, I decided to bring a few flakes inside. Soft, fuzzy flakes in the form of yarn!!! Here is a sneaky peak!
I hope you are able to enjoy this wintery weather wherever you are, and God bless you!
Oh, I love your photos. I miss real wintery weather ~ we just don't get any here in Charlotte! Thanks for sharing....oh, and love your snowflakes. They are adorable!
ReplyDeleteHello Jeanette, So far we haven't seen the first flake of snow. All this weather has blown past us and hitting Knoxville and surrounding areas. I guess I'll have to move back if I'm going to see snow again.
ReplyDeleteOn another note: My Dad wants to set up a free blog. How did you set this one up? Any advise I can pass along?

Hi Jeannette! I followed you over from a comment you left on my blog. So nice to meet you! I'm looking forward to reading more of your blog. I'm a Tennessee girl, too, at heart. My parents are both from Dyersburg. And the Smokey Mountains is the most wonderful place on earth as far as I'm concerned. I look forward to getting to know a fellow blogger! I'll share the UK with you and you can share Tennessee with me.
